Where the technical assessment fits
Registration involves the business and the person responsible for its building work. The technical assessment addresses the second part: whether the nominated technical person demonstrates the required building knowledge.
Preparation is the part you control. Requirements, documentation and procedure are set by the NHBRC.
What we deliberately do not state
We do not publish registration fees, timelines, document checklists or pass requirements. Those are determined by the NHBRC, change over time, and would be misleading if reproduced second-hand and left to go stale.

How to prepare for the part you control
Begin with a diagnostic practice test, study by competency area, and rehearse with a mock assessment. That sequence is within your control regardless of how the surrounding process is administered.
