Products and access
Can I download or print the 200-question bank?
No. Paid access is an online 90-day licence. The question bank remains the intellectual property of Contractor Academy / OSS Africa and is not supplied as a downloadable or printable document.
What do I receive with NHBRC Technical Assessment Preparation?
R699 once-off for 90 days of online access to the preparation question bank, with practice questions, mock assessments and worked explanations. There is no automatic renewal and it is not a subscription. It is independent preparation material, not an official NHBRC examination.
What do I receive with a document product?
You receive the purchased document and selected variant, for the revision current at the time of purchase. Documents are editable templates you must confirm as applicable to your own organisation before use.
Can I download a later revision?
Later revisions are separate offers and are not automatically included in an earlier purchase. Your account may notify you when a relevant revision is available.
Refunds
Can I get a refund after accessing or downloading a digital product?
Once digital content has been accessed, downloaded or consumed, a change-of-mind refund is not ordinarily available. We will still review a request on the grounds listed in our Refund Policy, and nothing there removes a right you hold under South African law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Can I buy a document, download it, and then cancel?
No. Downloading is the delivery of the product. Once the file has been supplied, a change-of-mind cancellation is not ordinarily available.
What if I change my mind?
A change of mind alone does not ordinarily qualify for a refund once access has begun. If you have not yet accessed the product, contact Support and we will review it.
Can I get a refund for NHBRC preparation access?
Once the paid question bank has been accessed, a change-of-mind refund is not ordinarily available. Genuine grounds such as a wrong product, non-delivery or a duplicate payment are reviewed.
What if I don't pass the NHBRC assessment?
Not passing an external assessment does not create a refund entitlement. Contractor Academy provides independent preparation material and does not guarantee any assessment outcome.
What if I don't like the questions or documents?
Preference alone is not a refund ground. If a product is materially different from its advertised description, that is a valid ground and we will review it.
What if I was charged twice?
A valid duplicate payment is refunded. Contact Support with both payment references and we will verify and correct it.
How are approved refunds processed?
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the purchase. Timing after we process the refund depends on your bank or payment provider.
Does a refund affect my access?
Yes. Where a full refund is approved, the related access entitlement is revoked. You cannot both keep paid access and receive a full refund for it.
Accounts
Can I share my account?
No. Access is personal and non-transferable. Sharing an account is a breach of the Terms and may result in access being suspended or revoked.
