CIDB and Tender Readiness Guide for Contractors
Prepare for South African construction opportunities with a controlled tender-readiness system covering registration, eligibility, returnables, pricing, capability and submission checks.
Confirm eligibility before spending effort
Read the invitation, scope, CIDB requirements, briefing rules, deadlines and mandatory conditions first. A compliant no-bid decision is better than an expensive submission that cannot qualify.
Build a returnables matrix
List every schedule, certificate, declaration, proof and signature. Assign an owner and deadline, then complete a final page-by-page check against the issued document.
Price the complete obligation
Connect quantities and rates to labour, materials, plant, supervision, statutory costs, preliminaries, risk, cash flow and the proposed programme. Low price without delivery capacity is not a sustainable strategy.
Prove capability
Maintain current project sheets, references, completion evidence, key-person CVs, equipment information and subcontractor records. Evidence should match the type and scale of work being offered.
Submit exactly as instructed
Observe format, naming, sealing, portal and deadline requirements. Retain the final submitted version and proof of delivery so the business can respond accurately to clarification.
