Measure the real workload
Calculate cleanable areas, task frequencies, surface types, access constraints, hygiene risk and operating windows. Square metres alone do not explain the full workload.
Price paid and productive time
Allow for breaks, leave, training, meetings, setup, travel between areas and relief. A wage rate is not the complete labour cost.
Include indirect resources
Account for supervision, uniforms, PPE, equipment depreciation, repairs, consumables, administration, insurance, compliance and mobilisation.
Test the commercial assumptions
Model wage changes, absence, overtime, payment delay, scope growth and consumable usage. Record exclusions and review triggers in the proposal.
